A Message from Our President:

Parade Foundation President, Leo Roche

Cead Mile Failte (One Hundred Thousand Welcomes),

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the official web site of the Mystic St. Patrick's Day Parade. On behalf of my fellow Officers and Executive Committee members, I hope you enjoy what our site has to offer. You should find helpful information about this year's festivities as well as some past history of St. Patrick's Day in Mystic.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee is an all volunteer organization whose sole purpose is to promote our Irish Heritage, organize and manage the parade. We are a registered non-profit organization; 100% of your donation is tax-deductible and will help directly fund local charities and this fantastic parade.

This year's Parade, the 7th edition, will take place on Sunday, March 25, 2012. The Parade will step off at 1pm starting from the Mystic Seaport South Parking Lot. It is expected that over 25,000 people will visit Mystic to help celebrate the best St. Patrick's Day Parade in the United States.

Producing a parade of this magnitude could not be possible without the tireless efforts of our Foundation members. They are the first to arrive on St. Patrick's Day and the last to leave.Let's not forget our beginnings and thank those founding members, who have served to help our Committee for so many years. May we also remember to welcome and embrace any and all new people who have recently joined us.If you would like to join the committee in putting together one of the greatest parades in the country, go to our website at mysticirishparade.org and you will find information there. But most importantly, let's all remember; let's make this Mystic's St. Patrick's Day Parade FUN!

Lastly, and most importantly, I would like to thank the businesses who advertise in our St. Patrick's Day program. Our festivities would not be possible without their support. We donate thousands of dollars a year to local charities and look to get involved in more worthy causes. We at the Mystic Irish Parade Foundation are always on the look out for a good deed to do. So please contact us with any suggestions you might have.

For everyone, the Irish and the Irish at heart, please visit our beautiful town of Mystic, CT which , as Julia Roberts' break out movie suggests in Mystic Pizza, is indeed, "A Little Slice of Heaven."

Come visit for a magnificent week-end of fun and fellowship.

Slainte (Cheers),

Leo Roche
President of the Mystic Irish Parade Foundation
